KONG HEE FATT CHOY

oops..... just realised that i did not put up a post to wish all of you a happy KONG HEE FATT CHOY!
-> may you prosper in all field: love, career, family etc....
-> may all your wishes come true
today is oledi the 9th day of CNY.... another 6 days before CHAP GOH MEI... so, here wishing you in advance a happy CHAP GOH MEI too..... hehehe
my house

as recommended by Mrs Ha, i found this personality site interesting as i spent almost 15 minutes sketching this house of mine.... hehehe....

Based on my drawing and the 10 answers i gave this is a summary of my personality:

Your house tells the world that you ought to be a leader. You are a freedom lover and a strong person. You are shy and reserved. If you've drawn a cross on each of windows, you always want to live alone. Once you have a problem, you need a friend with you. Your life is always full of changes.

You will avoid being alone and seek the company of others whenever possible. You love excitement and create it wherever you go. You see the world as it is, not as you believe it should be.

You are not a romantic person by nature. It also safe to say that others don't see you as a flirt. You don't think much about yourself.

weird dream

i hv this weird dream(s) last nite(or early this morning)....... i can still remember it clearly.... dunno why.......

1st case
went to this company trip with my hubby....and when hubby reversed his car, accidentally scratch my colleague, rachel's car..... she straight away got into her car and drive it to bang my hubby's car :(

she then very pissed of me......... and don't want to lunch with my from that day onwards..... she then ask my hubby to compensate back RM 7,744.00........

2nd case
went to cinema, bought movie tickets but the seats are 3 front rows from the screen... but when we entered the cinema hall, the tickets are for the 1st front row from the screen... what the heck? i'm the type of person who insist getting what i have purchased/ promised...

and when i tell the usherer that i wanna complain, he answered "Please feel free to complain but the complaint place is further down the road"...and so, off i went to complain together with my boss, joanne wong......... if i don't remember wrongly, i did not manage to complain... dunno office close or wat.... forget oledi.....

back to the story, as we walk back to the cinema, we passed by many stalls selling sugar cane, roasted chestnuts etc......... but never bought anything..... and before we entered back the cinema hall, i need to use the toilet.... and guess what type of toilets that the cinema had there? i saw two toilet doors....

1st one is with the label MEN/ LADIES (one sharing toilet with a few cubicles inside)......... and 2nd one is for KIDS.... of course i chose the MEN/ LADIES one-lah... coz i'm not a kid mah....... bad luck..... the toilet was super dirty... with a lot of "maggi mee" lying on the floor..... sigh..... i need to use the toilet badly.... so, off i went to the KIDS toilet.... as i wanna lock the toilet door, someone(a lady) wanna use it too and i tried my best to close the door as she tried to push in....... then..... RRrriiiingg....... my alarm clock buzz off........

CNY day 3

as usual, since my uni days, most of my CNY is not complete without a trip to Kuala Selangor(KS) for house visiting & seafood lunch with a few good frens.....

and now from my new home at Setia Alam plus with the smooth road all along the way & no traffic jam, we managed to reach KS in about 30 minutes.... not bad huh.....

this time around, we went in two cars (hubby, me, mr yeoh, mrs yeoh, ms yeoh joo yee- one year old bb girl...... hehehe, jian yee & li sun).......... our usual local KS tour guide , boo guan's house was the 1st stop....

then... what else but the lovely seafood lunch at Sungai Yu Restaurant .....7 adults and one bb girl...... the meal cost us about RM 140.00 ++ (just about RM 20.00 per person)........ thanks hubby for the treat!

Valentine's Day cum ROM
feb 14th.... valentine's day...... and oso my registration of marriage (ROM) 2nd anniversary... yup two years ago i was legally recognized as MRS LAM YEOW SIANG.... actually, i am still proud to use this title....... hehehe
it is just a week away from feb 14th...... hubby & i don't really celebrate it (valentine's or ROM anni).... we just go for dinner..... normal dinner as in not those special VALENTINE's set dinner.... call us "kiam siap" or anything but i just don't feel paying so much for those so called VALENTINE's dinner... really not worth it....

it would be nice if once a while on a "normal" day, my dear hubby can bring me to some fancy restaurant and hv a romantic dinner together.... no need for the reason to celebrate any special occasions... a surprise would be better * wink * wink*(for your hint, dear hubby)....

to me, what is more important is being with someone you love so much.... be it hubby, family, friends, colleagues etc...... enjoy their company on this special day or any other day.....
spend some quality time together with them (walk in the park, watch DVD, hv a candlelit dinner at home, listen to music, chat with them etc...)....

as for this year, it will be the 2nd time i celebrate valentine's without hubby around..... i can still remember the first year we "pak thor", i was in USM & he was in TAR college..... so called long distance relationship ah & we both are not so romantic until either one of us would actually volunteer to travel a few hundreds kilometres to spend the day together... in the end, both of us chat chat chat on the phone onli lor..... hmmm.... this memory still fresh in my mind.......

home cooked food

hubby's still in japan..... sob..sob... what did i do today? hmmm... cooked dinner for my lil' bro and sis coz my mum went out for CNY shopping..... this is the first time that they joined me & my parents-in-law for dinner... i actually cook one of my specialty dish & my MIL prepared the rest.....

PEGGY'S SPECIAL MARINATED CHICKEN

INGREDIENTS (serve for 2-3 persons)

2 chicken drumsticks
oyster sauce
abalone sauce
sesame oil
chinese cooking wine
1 teaspoon of sugar

* no measurements of the sauce/oil or wine coz it's up to individual taste. just make sure the meat are all covered/ marinated with the sauce *

STEPS:

- cut the drumstick to smaller pieces
- marinate the chicken with the oyster sauce, abalone sauce, sesame oil, chinese cooking wine & sugar
- then leave it in the fridge to marinate for at least four hours before cooking (i prefer to marinate it for at least one day in advance).
- add a little bit of oil to non-stick pan, use low fire and pan fried until the meat is cooked
- serve hot
Guang Liang - Tong Hua (with english subtitles)

being a "Banana", i still enjoy chinese songs even though i don't understand the meaning of the song.... and today on youtube.com, i found this music clip with english subtitles.... this song has won many awards... nice melody... meaningful lyrics... it is perfect...... just sit back & ENJOY!

nata de coco jelly

hubby will be leaving to japan again for business trip, BT.... his schedule this time round: feb 4th to feb 16th........... and his next trip will be feb 24th to march 16th.....i will be so SIEN again.... hmm..i hope to find more time to go lepak-ing with family, "ji mui" and frens..... or else, maybe i should learn some new recipes to try out....
