scam

i was blog hopping just now when i came accross this post... check it out before reading further... "SCAM"

and i actually encountered this same situation.....

two days ago while in office, i saw my h/p ringing with the number +0000 appearing on the screen.... well, i am the type of person who do not like to rcv weird weird phone calls... usually i will just ignore it and let it ring.... but this time i got my colleague joanne B to help me to answer the call instead.....

after joanne put down the phone,

me : joanne, what did the caller want?
joanne : she straight away ask me whether i speak mandarin (the caller spoke in mandarin of course) and when i tell her "NO, I DON'T SPEAK MANDARIN", the caller just said "OK" and then hung up the phone

u see-lah.... really got ppl simply dial our h/p number and ask for rubbish! and i am sure they will be able to get someone to fall into their scam... maybe not many ppl will get cheated by them but surely got at least one or two right?

hanuta

i had the chance to try this fav snack from Germany(courtesy of mrs ha who came back from her BT there)..... what i can say is this wafers which are filled with hazelnut creme is heavenly....

if you happen to see it any supermarket nearby you(which i'm not sure if they are selling it locally here in m'sia), don't hesitate to give it a try....... trust me!
home cooked dinner

last saturday, hubby & i was invited by mr & mrs ha for a simple home cooked dinner.... well, since they are only staying a few minutes away from us, we no need to drive there but we just have to take a stroll to reach their home(i would say a nice & comfy home).....

the dinner turn out to be a nice one... the food is great but what is best is the "company".... how often that we get to hang out with our good frens huh? in our rat race life, it is so difficult for us to gather with our frens....

mrs ha took all the trouble to prepare the fish slices + stir-fry "sengkuang" + chicken curry and ABC soup(with celery, first time i drink this soup and it is really delicious)...... i can understand how much effort she had put in (which i don't think guys will understand since they rarely cook)...... so, a big THANK YOU to mr & mrs ha for inviting us... hubby & i look forward to another round of good cook at ur home ya....

my fair lady review

may 19th '07(saturday)- went to watch this musical show with my SIL, kar lai since hubby is too busy to accompany me and my mum is not interested to watch it... we first went for dinner at Genki Sushi(seems like each time I'm at KLCC, i onli hv my meals at this restaurant)....

we were punctual for the movie... i can't believe that so many ppl is watching this musical show..... we saw many ppl who wore their best attire for this show(evening gown, bow tie etc...)........ very high class ppl i would say..... they look more of attending a dinner than watching a musical show...... and of course, they all bought the most expensive tickets for the show.....

the show started around 8.05 pm and lasted until 11.15pm (in between there was a 20 minutes toilet break)... initially, the show is a bit boring but soon, we started to laugh out loud....

hehehe.... it was fun to watch the professor giving English lesson to Eliza, the flower girl...... my fav moment of the show is when Eliza attended the horse race... she could speak good English(limited vocabulary actually) after being tutor by the professor but the only words that she knows is "CUP OF TEA", "THE RAIN IN SPAIN, ALWAYS REMAIN IN THE PLANE" (not sure if this is the correct phase)........

anyway, it was an enjoying evening.. i hope to hv more chance to attend this kind of musical show(of course it would be better if i can win more tickets from www.setiahomes.com)...

my fair lady
again, hubby & i won a pair of tickets from www.setiahomes.com and this time it's to watch this musical show MY FAIR LADY on may 19th '07 at 8.00pm...
Venue: Plenary Hall, The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

I actually never heard of this musical but yet i join the e-contest.... hehehe.... and i never been to a musical show before.... hopefully it'll be fun to watch...
colonel rice

today after work, i "ta pau" KFC for lunch.... hubby got craving for it.... he alwiz prefer KFC than McD.... and i am the other way round coz McD is my fav fast food joint..... nothing beats their fillet-o-fish burger....

guess what i had from KFC today? their new promo: colonel rice
my comment: the rice is just like any normal rice except that they have raisin in it and the gravy is the same as their mashed potato gravy... nothing to shout about... as a matter of fact, it's quite full to finish the rice with two pieces of chicken and one coleslaw..... but my hubby DID..... and not with two pieces of chicken but THREE pieces of it! he just loves KFC.....

rating: 3/10

chung wei

a little update on my nephew chung wei.... he's now 1 year two months old..... and very cheeky these days......
daddy's 53rd birthday

my family and i had dinner at Shin-Nichi Japanese Restaurant, KL last sunday to celebrate my daddy's birthday..... i enjoy the dinner but hubby is not so satisfied with the food.. so, he didn't eat much but actually hor, he eat not less oso...... and this is my comment:

food: fresh, food was refill all the time, they have raw oysters too.... my fav....
svc : quite efficient.... they very fast clear the plates & refill green tea
price: RM 45++ per person for dinner(10% discount applicable if you use Hong Leong credit card to pay, just like me ah)
i don't mind having dinner again at this restaurant but minus my hubby lor... maybe will get a gang of frens to go again... hehehe...... i can survive on a japanese diet for a long period of time....
and yesterday was daddy's actual birthday, may 7th......... as usual, we bought a cheese cake & this time is the Secret's Recipe CHOCOLATE CHEESE cake.... it is super rich with chocolate and cheese! yummy-licious and not forgetting the weight gain from the japanese buffet dinner and this cake..... i don't mind at all.... hehehe

s'pore food

i was in s'pore last mth for a short 3days 2 nites stay with my parents and sis.... hubby was too busy to join us... nevertheless, i still enjoy the trip... hehehe...

everytime we reach singapore, we will head to one of the many food courts at one of the neighbourhood for their local delight which is 'MEE POK'..... it's actually dry noodles either with pork/ fishballs + mushrooms+ fish cake........
for the very first time, i tried their "singapore rojak" which is very similar to the "penang fruit rojak" except that they have crispier "tau fu pok"...

and at nite, dad brought us to a famous "tong sui" stall at chinatown which sells the famous "Peanut Soup Tong Yuen".... this stall oso have the ordinary/ normal tong yuen with ginger soup.... of course, we tried the peanut soup one which turn out to be really good though we had it at about 10.30pm.......
we actually ordered the peanut soup with four pieces of tong yuen with different fillings(peanut+ red bean+ black sesame+ yam)..... it cost S$ 1.50 per bowl for 4 pieces of tong yuen with peanut soup... my verdict for this "tong sui": DELICIOUS... must try if you are in chinatown......

looking forward to my next trip to singapore, maybe in June next month with dear hubby.... they are having the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE..... okie hubby?

anything is possible

i attended an internal leadership training few months back and i planned to blog about it earlier... but oops! somehow i just forgot about it..... hehehe... busy-mah....

this photo prove that "sometimes we need to think out of the box to solve our many daily obstacles/ problems".... yup! we can actually poke a balloon with a "sharp & thin bamboo stick" without bursting it...... have u tried it b4? i did it that day and i was like WOW!
secret's recipe- spicy chicken cornish

i was spring cleaning my handphone's photo when i come across this pic.... don't think i hv blog about this b4........ ngam2 i feel a bit hungry now.... how nice is it if i can just have a bit of this???.... it's none other than this spicy chicken cornish from secret's recipe ........ if possible, i'll get myself one this coming weekend or maybe tomolo.....* wink * wink*
sky again
my dear sky(actually not mine, it's my family's dog and i onli stay near my family now... hehehe)....... has grown a lot this few months... as what my mum said, this dog needs a lot of attention...... so, when it bark, i got to call out it's name "SKY, SKY" so that it will stop barking... and actually listen to us talk, talk and talk........

this dog is cheeky.... my mum has difficulty bringing it for a walk as it will keep on running here and there or will just stop & sit down no matter how hard you pull his chain...... but when my dad bring SKY for a walk, it will walk nicely.......... u see-lah! dog oso know how to choose who to bully!
genting trip, may 1st

we first started our day with a McDonald's breakfast takeaway
time: 11.15am
food: one sausage McMuffin, one hash brown, two banana pies and one cup of tea

hubby & i reached the peak of genting highlands at around 12.30pm... as expected, we know that there will be so many, many ppl turning up at genting on any public holidays..... we took almost 15 minutes to find a parking spot but not before queueing up & stuck in a jam near the hotels' parking...
we were lucky, coz in the end, just like many thousands of other visitors on that day, we parked at the road side(legally one!) near the FIRST WORLD HOTEL bus terminal... whewww.... if not for the car who drove away for us to park our car, i can't imagine how much longer that we need to find a parking space.....

hmm.. this trip is a bit diff from my other genting trip... reason: rarely that hubby & i make a day trip there.... normally we will spend a nite there...... but this time hubby said NO-lah..... one day trip is enuf... save $$$......

and also, this is the first time that i win money from playing jackpot at the main casino... usually i will loose RM 20.00(hehehe... i know it's a small amount coz i alwiz restrict myself from gambling too much)...... but this time, i managed to win RM 30.00(wow.... macam menang banyak sangat... hehehe).....but i'm still HAPPY!

we then had our lunch at the KFC there
time: 3.30pm
food: snack plate(two pieces of Hot & Spicy chicken+ coleslaw+ mashed potato), one Alaskan fish burger, one potato wedges & 2 cups of Pepsi

after that we had dessert, this time round is Baskin Robbins ice-cream
time: 4.30pm
food: rum & raisin + raspberry cheese with chocolate cone(super delicious, but a bit expensive lor)

guess what??? i can't believe that i met two of my colleagues not once but twice on the same day at genting... just imagine there were thousands of people and yet, i get to meet them twice in a day!

hubby and i did not stay late as we planned earlier coz i don't feel that safe driving downhill when it's dark... a bit scary for me.... so, we left genting about 7.00pm.... (hubby have a history of driving up to genting with me & a group of frens on a New Year eve at around 11pm plus, that was scary for me)

before heading home, we headed to Taman Bunga Raya, Setapak for dinner(even though we are full but still i wanna eat at this place again, it's somewhere near hubby's ex-TAR college)
time: 7.30pm
food: two sets of nasi lemak with their "ayam goreng panas" special + ice lemon tea + lime juice
it was a satisfying day... the weather is nice(misty) and especially for the food all day long... and thanks hubby! for the great day..... looking forward to our next trip there ya...
