claypot chicken rice

supposedly i need to use a claypot to make this dish. but how many of us really have a claypot at home? so, i followed my mum's way of cooking this dish by using the rice cooker..... this dish is easy to cook... and luckily it turn out yummy.... my hubby actually ate two plate of this rice.... again, i'm proud of myself.... hehehe

ingredients(serve 3-4 persons)

300gm boneless chicken thigh meat
5 chinese mushrooms(need to soak for a while, then cut strip)
2 chinese sausages("lap cheong"- rinse with hot water to wash a way the first layer of oil, then cut into smaller pieces)
some dried shrimps
abalone sauce
oyster sauce
dark soya sauce
sesame oil

method:

- marinate the meat with all the sauces + sesame oil
- add in the chinese mushrooms + sausages + dried shrimps. leave it in the fridge to marinate for about 30minutes
- cook the marinated ingredients and leave it a aside
- using the rice cooker, cook the rice the way you normally do. Except that this time, add in the cooked ingredients and let it boil together with the rice
- once everything is cook, serve it hot....

tips: when cook the rice, put less water as you normally do. if not, the rice will turn out to be soggy
