BuSY bUSy busy...

since coming back from the kuching trip on the 21st dec, i hv been busy busy with the many plans/gatherings/dinners etc....

the kuching trip was an eye-opener one coz we had the chance to know more about the many different community at Sarawak...thanks for the many info from the local guide there actually....though it's not a develop town or city but kuching is rich in a different way...i mean the many types of culture....
well, here are the updates of my busy-ness..... read only if u could spare some time to read... coz i know not everyone want to know what happen to other ppl life...

dec 30th - a supposed happy x'mas gift exchange gathering for my dept, CSD

but it turn out to be a not so joyous one....reason: our GM informed all of us that our manager(now is our ex-boss), Melissa will be promoted and report directly to the CEO....a very shocking truth that none of us are prepared for.....some of us actually shed tear(including me...).....i mean for those like me who hv been reporting to Melissa for a few years will actually feel the sadness that hardly can be describe with words....

she's a good boss....she is someone whom u can approach without fear coz she is not the type who is so bossy..... she is someone whom u know u can refer to when u face any problems...be it personal or work problem...she is someone who are alwiz so willing to guide and advice u on any issues.....and the list goes on...

anyway, as our GM said...it's a promotion for Melissa and we should be happy for her...maybe huh???

jan 5th - porridge steamboat meal with my meter reading section colleagues(and a couple others) at SS 18, SJ

it was first meant to be a x'mas dinner but after being postponed for some reasons, it has become a farewell dinner as well for our first temp guy staff, Loo Chien Wei....imagine 8 gals + 1 guy finishing the hot porridge steamboat in about half an hour only.....we ordered 6 steamboat set plus some side dishes as well......and yup! it just take 30 minutes to finish up all those food....

jan 8th - 2 days 1 nite trip to genting with hubby

it's my fav place to visit every year(for those who know me well)... this time the weather was so cold, windy, misty, freezing (ooops...too "kua cheong" huh!)....the outdoor temperature averages below 20 celcius....but it's fun! coz it has been a long long time since i last visit genting with this weather....

hubby & i also watched KING KONG there(some ppl actually thought we r weird & don't understand why we would ever wanna watch a movie at genting!)..... we bought the premier seats......RM 17 per person which include a good seat ticket, a popcorn, a drink and a KIT KAT....not bad for the cineplex but as for the show...hmmm....6/10???

jan 13th..... steamboat buffet at Yuen steamboat, Sunway Mentari

i lost count on the number of times that i had buffet there... either with family, friends or colleagues... but hey! it's a good place to gather everyone coz it's budget, buffet(enuf food for everyone!).....and of course a variety of food (my fav, their roasted chicken wing, the ice-cream & their chilli sauce)...just yummy!

today there is 17 of us from CSD(including two gentlemen)..... reason for today's dinner is as a get together with Melissa... we really miss working with her...sigh....

and this coming sunday, jan 15th, hubby + i will be attending two other functions...

i) wedding lunch of my USM roomate, Lu Ping with her hubby, Kong Wai (my ex-schoolmate)

ii) my ex-colleague's Elaine baby full moon dinner

can't wait to attend both lunch & dinner coz it's time for reunion with my uni mates at the lunch & a gathering with my "ji mui" at the dinner...

finally, two weeks away from CNY....and also time for hubby to go for his business trip again... sigh...will surely miss him.... as for now, just enjoy the time i hv with him...and hopefully, for this new year, i can better manage my time..... some new year resolutions:

i) spend quality time with hubby, family & close friends
ii) learn some house-wifey things (rite now only know how to make potato salad & jelly for hubby + colleagues.....also just started cross-stitch, next will be knitting)
iii) save more money for the new house

* just stick to this three first * hopefully i can achieve all 100% *
