sad one
these days, DIVORCE seems to be a normal procedure for married couples who do not plan to stay together anymore....
D-I-V-O-R-C-E might just be a simple word but it means lot not onli to the couple but oso to their parents or loved ones (especially kid)....... coz it is the end of a union which was first solemnised by M-A-R-R-I-A-G-E.........
i hope that someone whom i know closely do not have to endure DIVORCE soon..... i still hope thay they have chance to get back together... it is not easy for two ppl to get together as husband & wife...
and i also hope that everyone of us here, do APPRECIATE YOUR LOVED ONES.......

yup... as a malaysian.... this scenario is almost a daily scene if you are like one of us who drives for work or leisure purposes.... nothing special.... just a normal scene taken while i was driving back from work today
Question of the day: Can u guys spot THE STUPID DUMMY CAR which tried to cut queue during a peak hour traffic jam???

donations for johor flood victims...
most of us have heard so much about the recent flood at johor... on thursday morning, 18/01/07 while listening to MIX.FM, I came across this message that they are organising a massive appeal for the Johor flood relief..... the items need to be sent to the collection centre by this weekend..... and then all the items will be delivered to Kluang on monday 22/01/07....
at first, i thought i could only collect a small amount of cash donations from my family & a few close friends to buy some items for the flood victim.... but with the help of my colleague joanne B and many others, we managed to raise about RM 640.00++ in just two days time.......!
so, last few days was a busy time for me......firstly, to collect donations, then buy the items (thanks joanne B, ivan & steven for helping to accompany me to GIANT to get all those items)....... & lastly delivered it to the collection centre near Atria (thanks hubby for being my driver!)
the 48 contributors are mainly our EI-CSD ladies, a number of TS-EI guys, my family members etc..... without their contributions, we would not be able to buy quite a number of things for the Johor flood victims..... a big THANK YOU to all of you who have contributed!Saturday, January 13, 2007
melvin's 26th birthday
08.01.07- my family celebrated my bro's 26th birthday with a simple meal of porridge at a nearby restaurant in Klang....
and later as usual, the birthday cake is the main attraction! we had our usual fav cheesecake... this time we had Secret Recipe Blueberry Cheesecake.. verdict: YUMMY... it's cheesy, the white cream not too sweet and it comes with a generous amount of blueberry as toppings.....

SUDOKU
i finally brave myself to try out this game of sudoku.... hehehe.... sound so exaggerating.... all this while i onli skip this game though it appeared in our daily newspaper... at first i was thinking how could ppl be so addicted to this game of numbers???...
the rule might be simple: complete the grid so that each row, column and 3x3 box contains every digit of 1 to 9 inclusive.
the first sudoku game i tried out was from the women's weekly magazine... it was more of a trial and error one:
for those who wanna try it out, you can check out NST online which has one daily sudoku game (each day the sudoku has different difficulty rating)..... and almost everyday b4 i start work, i will try to complete the NST online sudoku game.... maybe it can help me improve my mathematical skills?

penang trip...
yup... hubby & i was in penang.... a supposedly 3 days 2 nites trip turned out to be only 2 days and one nite....
reasons:
- not much places that we can go for jalan2 since penang was so crowded during the x'mas holidays
- still a lot of unpack boxes at our new home.....
main reason to go to penang: attend hubby's friend's wedding dinner
a summary of our short trip:
DAY ONE
dec 23rd- started journey about 9.30am.... in two separate cars, ours & hubby's friend GS, we stopped for breakfast at BIDOR for the famous duck thigh noodle... reached penang about 2.30pm....check-in to SUNWAY HOTEL.... went to nearby famous Penang Street laksa.....then wedding dinner at the FORUM chinese restaurant at Island Plaza... ended they day with "yum cha" at Gurney Drive... it was FOOD all day long.... hehehe
DAY TWO
dec 24th- visited one of my uncle, HOOI and family.... he treated us for lunch at town. hubby and i then headed to the newly opened shopping centre, QUEENSBAY MALL at Bayan Lepas(but not b4 getting jam around the complex due to MANY MANY PL were there as well)...we oso visited our friend, TEH & his gf, Vivian at his new home at Bukit Minyak(near Bkt Mertajam)....we had dinner b4 left for home...hubby & i reached home before midnight
conclusions: it was a nice trip to PENANG coz we get to go to so many places in two days time for visiting, some window shopping and not forgetting FOOD!
* one of the bakery shop at Queensbay Mall, rather cute name: Bread HISTORY! *
* Teh's new home at Bkt Minyak *
