supposedly i need to use a claypot to make this dish. but how many of us really have a claypot at home? so, i followed my mum's way of cooking this dish by using the rice cooker..... this dish is easy to cook... and luckily it turn out yummy.... my hubby actually ate two plate of this rice.... again, i'm proud of myself.... hehehe
ingredients(serve 3-4 persons)
300gm boneless chicken thigh meat
5 chinese mushrooms(need to soak for a while, then cut strip)
2 chinese sausages("lap cheong"- rinse with hot water to wash a way the first layer of oil, then cut into smaller pieces)
some dried shrimps
abalone sauce
oyster sauce
dark soya sauce
sesame oil
method:
- marinate the meat with all the sauces + sesame oil
- add in the chinese mushrooms + sausages + dried shrimps. leave it in the fridge to marinate for about 30minutes
- cook the marinated ingredients and leave it a aside
- using the rice cooker, cook the rice the way you normally do. Except that this time, add in the cooked ingredients and let it boil together with the rice
- once everything is cook, serve it hot....
tips: when cook the rice, put less water as you normally do. if not, the rice will turn out to be soggy

apr 14th '07(saturday)- while mrs ha is away for BT at germany, hubby & i manage to "date" mr ha for dinner... this time, mr ha recommended us to this Pulau Ketam steamboat place near jaya jusco klang..... Hao Hao Wey Steamboat restaurant...... he oso first time there, so we do not expect much from this place in terms of the food quality......
and all's well, end well.... the food is fresh.... they onli serve plain soup(no tomyam/ kim chi etc...)...... and it's not expensive.... about RM 13 per person for one set of steamboat..... we actually added a plate of dumplings for RM 5 (8 pieces- the dumplings are really yummy)......
and last saturday, hubby & i went to this same restaurant for another round of steamboat with my mummy & SIL...... i just can't have enough of steamboat.....
dear hubby bought home some miso soup from japan when he went for his BT last month.... i love miso soup(i should say that i love japanese food.... hehehe)... i guess he is too....
and this is one of the many instant miso soup that he bought...... nice packing that they have there...... it actually has five different flavours (if i'm not wrong is the original flavour, the onion flavour etc...)
if you're interested to taste it, you can buy some of this miso soup from Jaya Jusco supermarket or the 100yen shop at SS2/ Puchong/ Subang......
this past few weeks i hv been exploring new recipes... yup... i'm still learning to cook..... once a while MIL will give me some tips to cook better....
and this time round, i did this cooking all by myself (from washing the squid, cutting it to give patterns & cooking it).... i'm so proud of myself.... hehehe......
ingredients (serve: 3-4 persons)
300g squid (washed & cut)
one cucumber
garlic
ketchup
method:
- stir-fry the garlic
- add in the squid and let it cook for a while. then add in the ketchup(as much as you want)
- finally, add in the cucumber to cook it until it's a bit soft
- serve hot
tips: no need to add water. ketchup will do coz the water will come out from the squid naturally.....

i really feel happy now..... should be " i feel more relief now that hubby is home safely".... yup.. he's finally back from his China BT yesterday......
I've been complaning to him so much on how worried i was for the past few days since he did not call home to report that he landed safely there....
his excuses:
- he reached late on sunday
- been working till late nite everyday(almost midnite)
- rushing to visit suppliers at diff place e.g. guangzhou & shenzhen
- no roaming svc for the h/p(tomolo need to bring him and activate the roaming svc first)
he said: "nvm-lah..... i'm now home oledi.... don't be angry ya...."
i said : "if i am in your position, i also no need to call home and report that i reach safely is it?"
question: is it LADIES think or worry too much??? is it too much to ask for?

have u ever worry about ur loved one when they are away from you & they are not in M'sia???
I DO......
sigh... my dear hubby yet to call me since he reached CHINA last sunday... hopefully he's safe and things go well for him.... today is the 3rd day he's there and there is still not one single call from him..... it is just not so him...
how come he haven't call me yet? is it he forget to call me and inform me that he hv reached CHINA safely? can't he use the hotel room's phone to call me? can't he call from his workplace there? is the place he went to is so ULU until no phone line available??? cannot be rite???
(btw, his h/p no roaming - really regret he didn't apply for it, next time will insist he activate the roaming svc before he goes BT)
so many unaswered questions now....
i just hope that he's fine and he will give me a call soon....... he's scheduled to spend a nite tomorrow at hong kong ETA 7pm.... maybe then he will call.... i dunno.... really dunno.....
miss you dear.... & worry for you at the same time

i just realised that i hv not been blogging for quite some time.... actually since hubby back from his BT , i hv not been blogging... and tomolo, he'll be flying off again for another BT... this time is to Dongguan, China..... luckily this time it's just for 5 days & 4 nites (including one nite transit at HONG KONG)...
so, i hv not much to complain this time since it's just a short tip..... guess where's he staying for his one nite transit at hong kong? it's none other than the hotel that we stayed at when we went for our hong kong honeymoon in Y2005.... the MAJESTIC HOTEL... what a coincidence..... and since it's now super peak season at hong kong(coz dunno got what exhibition there woh), the room costs RM 500++ per room for one nite stay....
